The Beginning

Where It All Started

Our journey began in 1992 with the opening of a small takeaway kitchen in Pune, named Parampara. Founded by the family, it offered a modest menu — with biryani being one of the highlights from day one.

A couple of years later, while perfecting recipes in that very kitchen, an idea emerged — ready-to-cook spice mixes. After extensive trial and refinement, Parampara Spice Mixes was born. Over the following years, the product grew to become a remarkable success, reaching kitchens in over 10 countries worldwide.

In 2023, the family returned to its first love — the biryani kitchen. Because serving the most authentic Hyderabadi dum biryani is not just our business. It's our passion. It's what gives us joy.

Authentic Dum Cooking

Every biryani is sealed and slow-cooked over a low flame using the traditional dum method. The steam is trapped inside, allowing the rice and meat to cook in their own juices — creating layers of flavour that simply cannot be rushed or replicated by shortcuts.

The Best Ingredients, Always

We are extremely particular about sourcing. Premium basmati rice, fresh meat — never frozen — whole spices carefully selected, and locally procured vegetables every morning. The quality of ingredients is non-negotiable for us.
